That's your opinion and I value it. But it is not consistent with many here, nor the Porsche mechanics at the Porsche dealership. And it was not every time I take the car out. I left it in the garage for almost two weeks.

Ok, so lifters bleeding down in one or two weeks is normal. Sorry, no. Neither of my two 911s does that even after 5+ months of storage. So you spoke to the dealer; they didn't actually inspect it.

Your car. If you are happy, great!

I won't be happy if there is a problem. Believe me I'm on your side and will be cautious. To be safe; I have a dealership appointment next Wednesday (when they have a loaner available). Better safe than sorry. I'll follow up here to share results/findings. I've talked to you on the 993 forum before. I sold both my 993s....regrettably. But after 8-10 years of ownership I got bored driving them. I sold the one with 150k miles for $33k (paid $22k for it 12 years ago), and I sold the one with 68k miles for $65k but I paid $31k for it. That one is worth about $90k now. Sold the appreciating asset! Oh well.

Default Update on ticking sound

I ended up taking the car for a 2-hour round trip drive and the "ticking" sound went away. It has not returned in past 3 weeks. So maybe it did need exercise.

AHHH, a labor of love. Glad it worked out for you.

BTW, don't be surprised if the ticking returns from time to time. It's normal. Just go for a 20-30 minute (spirited) drive to bring everything up to temp. Also, driving it more often helps too.
