TO ME (prefaced so as to to not start some silly flame war)...has two things that are the pinnacle of design. Like a nice watch or the perfect tennis raquet, its just the best in recent years. Long after im dead I bet the 991.1 S interior and OEM S spoke 20 inch rims are sought after. They have superior design balance, look, and feel. Yes, I know a viper is faster.

Hard to justify the jump from a 991.2 S to a 992 S... not a C8 Z06....

I’m in the same place as you. I’m confident a 992S is technically an upgrade in performance and tech over my 991.2S but not nearly enough to justify the price delta. I still haven’t warmed up to the design either.

In terms of the updated dash / UI, last year I bought a new GTI for my son that has the updated screen interface where most of your functions reside. It’s annoying and a distraction for this geezer. 😊
