WING

THROUGH THE PIWIS YOU CAN DEACTIVATE OR ONLY HAVE IT DEPLOY AT SOME OBSURD SPEED LIKE 200 MPH, IT'S BETTER SO RAISE THE LIMITER SO THE BUTTON STILL WORKS FOR SERVICING.
I HOPE YOU CAN HEAR ME

Having driven a 911 with a spoiler that wasn't working, why on earth would you want to do this? It made the car very sketchy at speed. It's there for a reason.
If you're installing a well-engineered fixed wing, sure, I can understand disabling the OE spoiler, but if that's not on deck, don't do it.

IMHO. Do yourself a favor, go 60 mph and move the steering wheel left to right a few times fast & feel the body roll. Then put the wing up and see how much less it moves. It’s keeping the car planted.
The last thing anyone needs is to be going 80mph on a turn while decelerating and no aerodynamic load. Be safe

I don't like the looks of the wing at all on the carrera's. I had a 1979 911 turbo and I like that fixed wing but not so on the new carreras. But after reading some of the replies I guess it does work and is good for something. I am a pilot and it seems to small to do any good but I may be wrong. I just don't like the looks of this wing at all.

Well, I guess in your case, the best thing is that it does its job, but as the driver, you do not see it.

This is a good point. What do you care if you can’t see it? If you’re concerned about what others think, don’t be - there’s lots of people that don’t like the look of any Porsche, period. Of course, they’re all idiots…😜

I stand to be corrected, but I do not think the part that lifts up is a wing. I think it is a spoiler. The 2 serve different purposes.

ya-- your right it's a spoiler not a wing. It just seems too small to make any difference but as a pilot I guess it can after I think about trim tabs and other surfaces on my airplane. I just don't like the looks of it when it's deployed even though I can't see it when driving. After thinking about how well the Porsche engineers do things it probably does work as advertised. thanks for you input

Hey guys, I don't like how my 991.2 has the 4 little lines on the rear brake lights when I hit the brakes. How can I disable my tail lights?
Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
I always hated the 991 .1/.2 rear wing too, brakes up the lines like it was an afterthought and looks cheap. It is what it is though, right?
