Has anyone else noticed the excessive bass response with in a 991.2 base system? I have the bass set at -9 (max attenuation) and still too much bass. Is it the driver (which I would like to replace anyway) or base stereo eq settings? TIA

I have that issue as well. It happened after a PCM update, but never got around to dealing with it. I just keep my bass set to -6 or -7 and okay with it. It'd be nice to find out what the deal is.

Every time I drive with the radio on I’m constantly turning it down. Paranoia that a thumping or vibrating bass is something happening with the car.

Maybe I just need to listen to different music.

Did you make sure the “Loudness” box is not checked?

I added a couple of subs to the car because there wasn't enough bass for me with the stock Bose system... To each their own I guess.

I am not aware of a Loudness setting with the base system. Can you direc5 me?

On 991.1 with sound package plus it is on the same screen that allows you to adjust the base and treble.

Apparently Loudness didn’t make it to the 991.2.
