Default CPO Cover this, pleasant surprise.

I was today's year old when I found out the engine lid struts are covered by CPO.
It makes me wonder...
What are things does CPO covers that might surprise others?

Over the 2 year duration of my CPO they replaced my headliner, headlights, airbag due to the horn sticking and the memory setting buttons for the key profile under warranty.

I think strictly speaking it's not covered, but most SAs will cover it.

CPO basically covers everything a brand new car warranty covers. So the only things it would not cover is wear items like some cosmetic things and break pads etc. Engine lid struts certainly would always be covered as it is not a "wear item".

Yep. There's a reason that the CPO warranty is so much more valuable than third-party warranty plans. It's worth the modest premium to get a CPO'd 911 if you're looking at recent model year used cars.

Lid/frunk struts are an easy 5 minute $25 fix.

Not a surprise, but both PADM mounts. CPO so simply an extension of the new car warranty, so very little not covered.

Agreed, but that's not the point of this. Engine lid struts I would have thought is a wear item.., but surprisingly not. Aggregating this information can be helpful in future searches of other users. I'm trying to build a repository of information, not opinions on how hard a DIY fix is.

This is surprising to me, its a moving part that does wear over time and usage.
