Default Recommendations for Tires - Bay Area

Anyone have suggestions for get four new tires put on? Should I just go to the dealer down the street (Porsche Burlingame) or is there a better route?

It’s worth checking the local dealer price. Mine price-matched tirerack.

agree. have had two friends get the price match from local P car dealers in the past year (chicagoland area). i'd check with your local P dealer and see if they have such a policy. seems like the way to go imho. if they do, shop for the best price and let the local dealer go at it.

Local dealer here matches TireRack as well and they “usually” have better trained techs to do the job.

in Sacto we have Americas tire(discount tire on internet) these guys actually understand the yellow/red dot theory and use a real torque wrench.

I suggest you look up mobile tire installer Tread Logic. Don't know if they are in your area but I have been very impressed with their quality and service. You can order on Tire rack and have it delivered to them and they come to you for install. Saves a lot of time and very convenient. You can also buy directly from them as well.
No affiliation.

I’ve done well at Discount, Costco and the dealer. Agree on the dealers. They are competitive surprisingly.

+1 on Custom Alignment, in Mountain view. I have Tire Rack send them the tires and they install them. Not as inexpensive a service as others but I know it’s done correctly. Very careful with our precious wheels.
