Default Porsche Reliability

I am guessing .2/992 cars and their water pumps etc have something to do with this?

No idea

guess should be happy I don't own a Land Rover - $29K repair cost compared to Porsche $13K repair cost.

I shouldn't jinx it, but my 991.1 C2S is one of the most reliable vehicles I've owned of the 20 or so I've had in my 57 years.

when I saw mitsubishi and mercedes near the top of the reliability list, I knew this ranking was flawed.

The other year Porsche made it into one of the Top 10 lists for most reliable, the only German manufacturer in that list, and now they’re the most unreliable on this list. Just find the list you like the most and read that one 😊

Must be a BS article being passed around, or they're talking more about the Macan/Cayenne/Taycan issues. The Macans started having bad rust issues. It may be including warranty work prices in these numbers above.
Just recently Porsche was up there with Toyota and Kia. A quick google search came up with this from a reliable source (no pun intended).

There is nothing on the face of this planet as unreliable as a Range Rover or Mercedes GL lol. I ran a exotic service facility for a very long time, and Porsche was always incredibly reliable compared to the other brands with the same mileage that came in. Period.

We would sell a ton of new bodies, and usually get square body high-mileage trades ('03-'12). I'd put those 80/90k mile Supercharged V8's up for $20k and would sell in hours. We would always warn that they were very high maintenance trades and would not recommend as a daily driver but no one would listen. We did our best to let them know not to hate us afterwards, but to blame the people who built them (or themselves, the dummies that still bought it after being warned LOL). It's a shame because they're really nice. I'll never buy a car or SUV with Airride, because of what I've seen with these. When we were looking for my wife's Macan, I specifically would only look for ones without the air suspension. We did end up getting a really nice Macan Turbo, then I turned it into a 600+hp daily for her. No issues at all for almost 40k miles of driving, except for a little oil consumption towards the end of the oil life. Nothing out of the ordinary. Still reliable!

buying a high milage Rover is very similar to jamming a sharp object deep into your eye. self inflicted brain damage. i've never owned one outta factory warranty but have seen the grief inflicted on others who choose to roll the dice. it seldom if ever ends well

Bentely's are right behind them breathing down their neck. Those cars are built for the wealthy that buy them brand new and trade out of them to get a newer model in a couple years or yearly. Anyone who owns it once that factory warranty ends, who the f*ck cares if they fall apart, it wasn't meant for you.... That's the manufacturer mentality. Confirmed when I talked to a Bentley tech a while back lol.

I'm curious how the Warrantywise analysis compares in vigor to that of JD Power who has rated the 911 the most dependable vehicle of ALL vehicles for 3 or 4 consecutive years.

For those seeking humor in Range Rover ownership…

Owner #1- A friend bought a Range Rover Supercharged new in 2006 and drove it until around 2010 and 50k-ish miles.
Owner #2- Owner 1 sold it to a mutual friend (Owner 2) who only kept it a few months and then sold it to me (owner3).
Owner #3- My wife drove it until it had 92k on it and then we sold it back to owner #2….(now owner 4) I guess he missed it.
Owner #4- (Or is it 2?) rarely drove the car and called me about 4 years after his second ownership began, and asked what I thought it was worth.

Im now the fifth/third owner with just under 140,000 miles on the car and I love every minute of the high ownership cost… you either love them or hate them, but when I sell, Owner #2 has already said he wants it back. Owner #1 has asked for first rights, but being good friends sometimes means we just tease him about being not being in the club.

Agree, we have had Land Rovers in our family forever. Love them and wouldn’t own any other SUV. Never had any major issues either. Will always own one.
