Dealer offers stage 1 tune?
I'm not a mod guy but last month when I had my car in for service the Porsche dealer mentioned they could now offer a stage one warranty compliant tune mod that could get something like 540hp out of my car. Has anyone done this or have any thoughts? Seems interesting but honestly have no idea how common this is or what the downsides are. Thanks.

What model/year do you have? Where is the dealer located?

Interesting. Following this thread. Would be nice if the dealer does this.

I’ve done this with my Audi at an Audi dealership. They offered APR tuning in the service department and so I got it done there. No issues and I like the tune.

Not unheard of as some dealerships offer a stage 1 GIAC tune. As mentioned there are VW/Audi dealers that will install APR.
Some dealers are more open to certain mods (headers / HFC / 'stage 1' tunes / suspension upgrades / brakes etc.) My dealer was happy to install HFCs and was very clear that they didn't expect them to cause ANY issues.

Several years ago I researched a tune for my Carerra T.
My local dealer is Sewickley Porsche in the Pittsburgh metro area, and at that time they were offering to sell and install the Softronic tune for the 991.2.
For various reasons, none related to concerns with Sewickley or Softronic, I passed on the tune at that time.
I do not know if this is still the case, but it may be worth a call to Sewickley.
BTW, I am a fan of both Sewickley and Softronic based on favorable experiences with both vendors over the years.

I have
Apr "plus" stage 1 on GolfR though dealership. Never exercised the warranty though. That HP number may be hopeful.

^ this.
Going by other tunes available, a claim of 540 on an S or GTS model is pretty high up there for "things we're comfortable saying are OEM-levels of reliable."
I've love more details about the tune, the dealer, etc.

Damage caused by a tune will not be covered by your factory warranty. Zurich warranties are decent about this but not infallible. APR Plus is more or less what you're looking for.

Any update on dealer installed/approved tunes that won’t cause warranty issues?
