Anyone shop for tires lately? Even Tirerack service is bad.

I have PS4S on my 991.2 and on my wife’s car. Not all that impressed sorry.

As expected the PS4S was quieter and had better dry traction. Did not track the C63 so can't comment.
Was very impressed with the P Zero (OEM) on the 911, great in dry/wet and held up on the track with no appreciable wear, where other drivers with new PS4S had severe shoulder chunking and delamination issues.
Was going to go with the PS4S on my E63, but will end up putting on the PS AS4.

Had P Zeros on my 991.2 C4S and though they are a fine tire, the front end never felt great. Switched to PS4S and they totally transformed the steering response and front-end grip. Have experienced this same difference on my 3 prior cars too. Have to question anyone saying the P Zeros are better. The only thing the Pirellis have over the Michelin is that they are slightly lighter.

Because of supply problems for the PS4S I've been thinking of purchasing Continental 'Extreme Contact Sport' tires. Does anyone have experience with them? Reviews are very good and they have a 340 tire wear rating. I won't be using them for track use, just for aggressive road use.

The PS4S are great tires no doubt but I’m probably going with P-Zeros next round. Had them in the past and find them to be a little quieter. I’m not driving out of limits often and don’t track where I really need the PS4S’s anyway. Hope you find some. The dealership is probably your best bet. 👍

See my response above on treadwear/life above. My experience anyway and I think actual $ per mile matters more than initial $ per tire. That $200 savings evaporates quick if you only get 10k miles out of a set vs 15k - 20k.

Agree that usable tire life does matter.
P Zero (OEM) - 10k miles = Fronts at 50% and rears on the wear bars. 2:1 F:R seems pretty normal. Fortunately the wear was reasonably even across the tread.
On my C63 I found similar life span for P Zero and the PS4S FWIW.

I got about 20K miles on the 4S with aggressive driving. Much quieter than PZwro imo and I am more confident driving with the 4S.
Also, with the PZeros I used to get punctures galore. With the 4S, I only got 1 in the 20K miles driven.
I am sticking with the 4S.

Bottom line is that people have their preferences and are entitled to them.
