recently purchased a used 2016 911
the prior owner had installed a new battery in it but hadn't 'registered' it in the ODBC
I picked up a iCarsoft 2.0 and tried to register the battery but requires a 15 digit code
the battery is a Interstate MTX-94R/H7
it's a 80 ah AGM battery
no 15 digit code on it anywhere.... does anyone have a similar battery specs with a 15 digit code they'd share with me so that I can get this battery registered in the vehicle?
I recently registered my new 92AH AGM Duracell battery using the ICarsoft POR V2.0 and IIRC I used the 12 digit bar code number and added three 0’s. For the part number I used 99961109212 for the 92 AH and for your 80AH you would use 99961108012.

after charging all night it was at 12.7v
unplugged the charger and after a couple hours still 12.7v so it appears there is nothing draining the battery, just don't understand why it's not getting a full charge after driving it around..... when the car is running I'm showing 13-14v
worked great! i used the actual bar code + 3 0's on the battery and it took it......then made up a part # for it and padded it with a few zero's and all is right with the world!
Many forum members have reported no issues with installing a new battery and not coding/ registering it with PIWIS or another devise. And I have read a post where a member felt he had a new battery fail prematurely because it was not coded. I used my ICarsoft POR V2.0 to register my new 92AH AGM Duracell battery and previous Bosch 92AH, because I feel it’s more important that I was changing from original 70AH to larger 92AH battery. I did run a report from the Gateway with the ICarsoft that listed the serial numbers, dates of installation and capacity of all three installed batteries. The report also showed that the battery that I was replacing was at 100% charge but 63% capacity. It was commonly charging at 15.1 Volts before replacing and is now charging in the 13-14 volt range with the new battery. From my limited knowledge and experience I have still concluded that there are benefits from coding a new battery.

I was told by a tech that it’s necessary for the computer to know how to optimally maintain the battery by knowing amp hrs and type. All the codes etc are necessary for it to accept the new battery in the ODBC, at least using the ICarSoft 2.0.
