Default Help with identification of wire

So I’ve my 2014 991.1 S for about a year. Today while washing I noticed a wire going across the passenger side radiator vents, inside the vents between the vents and radiator. It runs on the passenger side only. Is this an after market wire for something, or factory and maybe just recently has fallen to where it’s visible?

Also, when I bought the car it had these wires in the frunk. My guess is audio equipment? The ends are cut on one end and the female plugs are on the other end. Anyone know what this was used for?

While I'm not certain, I've seen alot of OEM wiring by Porsche, and non of them have connectors like the ones you show, so I'm guessing it was used for an aftermarket product: maybe a laser jammer?

Do you think the wire going across the radiator area is after market, or is that a factory wire?

If you have 991.2 then the passenger intake vent wire could be ambient temperature sensor wire.

The cable ends you pictured are 6-pin mini DIN -- think PS/2 keyboards and mice, the purple and green connectors, before USB took over.

A laser jammer does seem likely -- those use multi-pin DIN connectors frequently for the external units. Nothing in audio uses those.

Wire across the top of the front intake looks like the same: most likely laser jammer wiring.

Laser jammer or Radar detector wiring. Definitely not OEM wiring. I don't like extra wires hanging around, I would remove, but not a necessity.

Escort system:

Default Thanks to all

I appreciate the responses from all. I believe the consensus is radar detector/jammer. The last pic sure looks like the same wires.
