Terrible Porsche Customer Service and Dealer Service

Eh, they're not wrong. Of course, it's all those OTHER customers who are the idiots, not me...

So it looks like all Porsche dealerships are cr@p right now!? I mean am reading these posts and they all have one thing in common, they all suck or almost all suck.
That’s how you destroy a brand… I do think Porsche NA needs to do something about this and make these privately owned businesses accountable for delivering quality service to the image of their cars.
what is the point of getting a Porsche if you can’t get it serviced? Not everyone can do self maintenance.

I’ve had a Porsche for 12 years and practically every time it goes in to any of the 3 dealers something goes wrong.
I planned on staying in the brand but the dealers are straight garbage.
Left oil drains loose. Found it holding by 1 thread
Window switch trim replaced and they didn’t screw in the window switch. The switches fall in the door.
Replace the belt & water pump snaps off a week in.
Replace console switch and forget to program sport suspension and stop/start.
Replace clutch & shift linkage pops apart as they try to drive the car around.
Replace IMS and oil pressure light comes on afterwards ruining my engine.
Try to charge me for a rental.
Not having a loaner.
Not wanting to give me a rental.
…….. and I’m forgetting a lot of stuff too

The product is superior
The dealers are ****. I just had a conversation with another owner about a dealer here out in the stix. No call backs on service appointments and zero ****s given. I understand with my car being a little older but my buddies is brand new and he gets the same thing. If i cant get service where i live I might as well risk a lotus.

Time to start another chapter on trying to get my warranty work done as I've described in my post and a number of following updates and clarifications to the problems I've been experiencing:
I again called Porsche Customer Service today. This is the fifth time since trying to get my warranty repair. Rather than telling me a Porsche Tech Specialist will call me back, which has never happened, the helpful person I talked to said it might be more expedient to talk to my regional specialist on warranty issues. I'm in the South Central Region. I was put on hold as he tried to contact her but after the wait I was told she was in a meeting and would call me back in the next couple business days. Her name is Rita D. So Rita D. if you follow Rennlist and read this post please call me!

Burning Brakes
I have about given up on the two dealers here in the ATL. Too many good independent shops to bother with a dealer. Wanted to maintain a relationship while under warranty but it just has not made sense to do so.

This is how ice dies. Keyboard mechanics replacing the skilled. Started happening to Ram diesel mechanics in my area over 15 years ago. Perhaps those with Taycans are having a better experience. I'm glad I've not needed other than regular maintenance. Seems extinct.

EVs are not going to change the picture, sadly. The dealership can hire JPL engineers or Google SREs for the service department, but Porsche won't give them the information and tools they need to do anything but the most rudimentary parts-swapping jobs.

Something has changed for the worst recently. I thought it was only my dealership having this problem over the last year and it might be post-pandemic related. Three years ago I used this same dealership for the used 2015 Macan Turbo I purchased that came with an extended Porsche service warranty. At this time the service was exemplary. All work was done quickly and on time. I could discuss any questions directly with the supervising mechanic. I got a walk through of the service facilities. What happened? It would seem with empty inventories of new Porsches (excluding new Macans) the dealers would focus on their service departments for generating income, and not just by inflating prices but by excellent service. I feel like I bought the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio I was considering a while back. The Alfa dealership here lasted for less than a year due to poor management. I thought I wouldn't have problems going with another Porsche.

We're all on "island time" now. We have been since the start of the pandemic.
Getting pretty annoying.
