Happened to my 991.1S but mine is worse, the fabric was dangling already and partly covering the view of the passenger side from the driver seat. I still have CPO and called several Porsche dealers around my area if they can claim it under CPO. All of them will not cover it because they said it is a cosmetic issue, except one. One dealer even said do not park it under the sun, in sunny Los Angeles, so I proceed to asked if they carry a Porsche tequipment canopy in the likely event that I have to park where there are no shade. After CPO replacement, I always have the sunroof vent open when I park.

A few years ago I was considering some minor interior refreshment on my '86 911 and Tin Lizzy Affair in Plano kept showing up in other forums. Never followed through with it so no first hand experience.

Most people here know the history with modern MB. Luckily, my 2006 W211 E500 4matic estate was the most reliable and well built car I owned up to 2016. 2 issues in 200K miles. [1 V/C gasket leak, 1 engine pulley]

Still angry about the headliner and still haven't gotten it fixed (I have pins now, like a lowlife).
However a practically new S65 came knocking on my door and who am I to say no to a V12? Since that s a ridiculously heavy car with very limited agility the Porsche will be sticking around for a while longer.
If the headliner on the S65 fails I'm switching to biking...

I’ve had about 10 German cars (3 Porsches) of all makes and, while they drive well, the quality and reliability are poor. This 911 is probably my last one. My Ford and Chevy trucks go hundreds of thousands of miles with few of any problems, and they are tight and rattle free. My C7 Vette was built far better than my 911 and also was tight and rattle free, and it had never been back to the dealer after I purchased it. I think people believe German cars are engineered better, but imo (and I’m an engineer btw) they are not. And the not so little things like headliners coming down, trim delaminating, and door panels coming apart are BS and inexcusable, and ruin the experience.

Both my C7 Vettes had interior rattles. Both had the well known paint chipping issues. My GS had a factory paint run by the rear emblem.
Every auto manufacturer has issues. And there are Monday cars and Friday cars from every manufacturer as well.
Ain't nuthin' perfect!

Of course nothing is perfect. But I have found that European cars have far more oil leaks, rattles, and avoidable interior problems than American and Japanese cars. German engineers have an affinity toward overly complicated solutions. That’s my opinion and experience, having owned 25+ cars, mostly new, all American and German (with the exception of the 79 Spider Veloce I had in college and loved, despite its issues).

Every car brand is problematic. I have 9 recall letters in the glove box of our 2017 Kia Sedona (they're like Pokemon, gotta catch em all), yet the vehicle has been 100% trouble free since new.
My 911 has been the least-reliable vehicle I've ever owned, but I still love it more than any car I've owned.

It's a pre facelift in the metallic designo white and dark brown/black interior with 20k miles (Not a big fan of the tri stripe headlights and the new steering wheel with the touch pads).
As they came with pretty much everything the options are not very interesting, sadly no fridge to never use but demostrate to everyone who gets in the car.
It is the most ridiculously unnecessary thing but I can't seem to drive it without a smile on my face.
