Default Duck tail

Has anyone seen the new sport classic ducktail on 992? Wonder if we can purchase that for the dot 2. Looks good, don’t know how well cooling would be though.

992 Sport Classic

I love it too. I don't know if it is able to fit 991.2, but I also hope it does.

Totally different body line. It will not work on a 991.2.

Yeah the more I read it is based off turbo platform also. Which is 50mm wider than 4s 992. Still be cool if an aftermarket company replicated one.

It would make more sense to start with a 991 ducktail for a 991 than a 992 ducktail. There are 4 or 5 of them aftermarket and OEM.

For .2 models? I know Porsche and some others made .1 ducktails but didn't know there are .2 ducktails (not Moshammer spoiler with additional lip). If you don't mind, can you share some reputable company who makes a ducktail for .2 models?

I meant, start with a 991.1 ducktail and modify it to work with 991.2

I thought the 991.2 had cooling issues, hence no spoiler options from Porsche. I wonder what's different with the 992?

Looks like it has an air intake along the bottom edge

This is how Techart solved it for 991.2. You could probably integrate something like you see on the 992 SC, a little more elegant, same idea.

Closest factory option for a 991.2 was the Sport Design spoiler. Which was sort of a duck tail.

I'm not a fan of any from early 911's to now Duck Tails, too me for some reason they look like a cheap add on and takes away from the body lines

Adam I’m never found definitive evidence on Techart’s design to proven lower temperatures or cooling. I’ve emailed them ask on here. No one seems to have wind tunnel or recorded data on there spoiler. I’m theory you would think it would be better. Maybe someone has something somewhere?

The 992 mount looks very different than the 991.2. It would be easier to start with the 991.1 ducktail.

Loving mine & happy to see the return on the 992.
