Default Cabin Fan drained battery

2013 991.1 C2 cabin fan won’t stop running. I changed the temperature setting higher and lower. I put the fan speed to “off.” Even after the ignition was switched off and key removed, it kept running. Ran the battery down. I had to jumper cable the frunk open to jump start. I pulled the passenger side A3 fuse. It stopped. So did stability control. It also caused a parking brake error.

Does anyone know if it’s the fan switch, fan relay, or the blower fan motor controller? is there anything else it could be?

On mine, it was the blower motor resistor (regulator). I had it replaced under CPO. I pulled fuse A3 to keep it from draining the battery too, but I never had any issues with the stability control or parking brake. According to the fuse diagram, A3 is only for the fresh-air blower motor and the blower regulator

This is common issue with BMWs didnt realize it was the same for Porsches. Although for BMWs, at least the ones I had, was an easy DIY replacement.

I don't know if this is a problem but everytime before switching the ignition off, I would always switch the cabin fan speed to zero but for some reason, the next time I switch the ignition on, the cabin fan is set to 1. is that normal operation or do I have the same problem?
My car is always plugged to a battery tender when not in use but I did notice the battery was a bit low the first days I kept the car in the garage (before I got the battery tender) so I am wondering if I also have this kind of battery drain issue happening.
