Default 991.1 engine ticking when hot diagnosis

Hey everyone,
Bought a 991.1 a few months ago and ever since i got it the car makes a weird tick on decel and accel at low rpms. I took it to the Porsche dealer and their guesses were noisy injectors and just heat in the catalytic converters pinging. I didn't like their answer and asked to have cylinders scoped. Do these pictures look normal? They also tell me the metal shavings in the oil are also normal.

Sounds odd to me.

To random of a tick vs what I think is normal.

BTW metal shavings in the oil are not normal...... what crack pot of a dealer did you go to?

991.1 owner here, mine sounds like that also. If you do some research you'll find out all of them are like that.

All I know is that mine doesn't make that sound. I am the furthest thing from an expert but I tend to lean towards what desmotesta and your dealer both mentioned - noisy injectors.

Exactly why I've been arguing with them. It's been a disaster.

All these shavings in fresh oil are normal to them.

If it’s all normal to them... trade the vehicle in and walk away.

With an engine stethoscope you may be able to locate the source of the noise. If it's coming from one of the cylinders you've got a serious issue.

Metal particles are not good in the oil. All that you've described is cause for concern.
