most the "gts" delete is actually not bad but I'd want the sport design mirror back. This reminds me a similarly spec'd gts I checked out a couple months back: also manual&5lug, carmined red on two tone expresso/cognac, should have bought it Ahh
Looked at the same car and waited too long to pull the trigger. Thankfully it worked out better for me by finding my .1 Carmine Red GTS with the full package
Congrats on the swap! I saw that car listed on the web and thought it was a great deal compared to most other GTS's out there with a manual. Your car looks very similar to mine (color wheel combination - when mine was stock that is).
As Tangerine pointed out, the Numeric shifter is the way to go. We drive manual cars for the driver interaction with the car. You literally interact with the shifter every few seconds when you're driving (save highway cruising).
I have the Numeric shifter and cables. It is a game changer. GT4 and stock shifter are made mostly of plastic and feel rubbery in comparison to the Numeric. The stock cables look like bicycle cables with the Numeric looking like they're about 5x bigger. Trust me, it's completely worth it and is the very first mod I'd make on the car.
Also, for power adders. For the money, you couldn't beat the RR Racing supercharger. You still have the NA sound, but a LOT more HP and TQ for about half the money. Plus, it's reversible for an added bonus.
Here's my car as it sits today. Yes, I have Bilstein B16 coil-overs and it's lowered, plus AP BBK and Litespeed Racing custom forged magnesium wheels.
Congrats! Was it the transporting company that sent you the video?
Also, is the centerlock delete a favorable option to most?
Salesperson/Dealer sent the video
As for CL delete, its a subjective thing. I never had CL before so Enjoyed them on my PDK GTS, their uniqueness and extra "work" it took to take the wheels off, sort of like a more complex toy.
I am mostly indifferent but do like the fact that 5 Lug .1 GTS are very rare, hubs are lighter, much more variety (and less expensive) options for 5 lug lightweight forged wheels. It being a .1, every pound I can get off the car, especially unsprung is an improvement.
I've always been curious about trading in a car from another state. Did you have to ship yours to them first? Congrats.
my first time as well.. and will probably have never worked if it wasn't for this crazy market ( unless you have a rare car)
Deal was pretty simple. (of course AFTER I had done some homework on their dealership, their reviews on several different platforms, googled owners and history of other businesses they have had)
Both parties agreed on a sale price. (for each car):
I agreed to pay shipping for my new car, and they agreed to pay shipping for their car
I bought their car sight unseen (But with DME report, Over Rev report), carfax and after making a few call to dealership the car was service its whole life (luckily 1 owner and 1 dealer)
They bought my car sighunseen except for a FaceTime video call ( I assume they pulled Carfax)
Once number were agreed upon, they paid my car off and my credit union sent them an over night check for theirs
They are responsible to pick their new car up as soon as they can find a transport , I elected to have them arrange for shipping at my expense
They worked directly with the credit union, title for my current car will be mailed to them, and title for my new car will be mailed to my credit union.
Ahhh that doesn’t sound too bad. Don’t mean to thread jack but I was asking because a couple of years ago I wanted to trade in my E-Class to a dealer in Florida. They gave me an offer on my car but then I got turned off by the whole deal because they wanted to inspect the car in person prior to finalizing anything. I had a feeling that they would probably find an excuse to change the offer once the car arrived to them.

exactly..
My deal was, if they want inspection, it must be done prior to them agreeing to buy and same goes for their car.
Only thing I did that was probably just for peace of mind and means nothing in the real world, is that I opted to have my car shipped first before they could pick my car up.
Again, this only works in this crazy market where they will turn around and just sell my car in a few days.
Really, really nice car—not that the old one wasn't! GTS + MT will be fun.
The pics of your new car remind me of the 991.2 GTS 7MT in Agate on silver five-lug wheels that I kept configuring as a gut check before pulling the trigger on a Carrera 7MT with a lot of options—and now have me a bit wistful. Agate works so well on these cars. Yeah, I can see where the wait is agonizing—but it'll make the arrival that much better. Enjoy it!
I know the feeling, it took the dealer in Ottawa nearly a month to get my car to me and I only was able to see it with my own eyes last Wednesday, on a cold -21c day.
Very cool - it's easy to feel your excitement over the move (even though the 'old' will be missed)! +1 on the Numeric. I only bought the shifter, not cables, and worth every dollar spent. Also not difficult DIY.
