Total BS.

Porsche obviously does not stand behind its product.

No one to blame but us who keep buying.
I believe it would require a complete redesign of the panel, something crazy expensive at this point in the life cycle. It was designed when certain glues were allowed, then they got rug pulled by the German government. So yes it sucks but they're in a tough spot.

I expect this is addressed in the 992.1?

Not sure a redesign is needed. If Pedro can fix it, why can't Porsche? And you may be correct that the rug got pulled out from under them with the glue, but find it hard to believe that they - with all their billions - cannot find a replacement glue that works. What fair is fair, and their denying free replacement and fixes, past warranty or not, is not fair. Especially on a $100K+ car.

Default The O'ld Warping Door Panels Routine

HUH ! The O'ld Warping Door Panels.... WHY-I-Ought-ta..........Yup, last month purchased a '14 Cayman S that is pristine except for you-know-what.......I'll be the 3rd owner, didn't see it in person before the purchase but had a thorough PPI performed by a shop recommended by PCA Member. Knew there would be some expenses when purchasing it, we've been in the minus temps so not surprised of plastic materials moving around.

I've been researching on-line, looking at YT videos and now I'm focused on Pedros Garage in the Tampa Bay area, Door Panel (pedrosgarage.com)
Anyone used their services? Good Results? I certainly have time before spring, 2 months away, should be able to get this fixed..... hopefully..... Thanks........

To be fair the really good glues aren't environmentally friendly, and it's a very real chance they can't (as a corporate entity) have those products in their supply chain. But Pedro don't care about that, he cares about fixing the problem.

I used Pedro and very happy with the results. I told myself I could live with the warping but that didn’t last long.
Make sure you package the panels per his instructions. I posted a picture of how I mailed mine to him since I had trouble finding a box which would fit both the door panels. You should be able to find the thread under my name. Good luck!

Yes, the Pedros site shows how to easily remove the door panels for shipping but doesn't go into the next step of packing for shipping. I've already had a challenge to find his recommended shipping box size of 24" X 48" X 8". I'd be interested in seeing what you did...... THANKS

BS quality on the standard interior from Porsche. How the hell did the Cayman pass a PPI? Rubbish IMO. I would demand a refund.

What shop did the PPI? I wonder if they may have some liability here that their E&O insurance would cover.

Good to know. Luckily I didn’t have any issues. I bubbled wrapped them significantly.
Pedro has a deal with UPS on package weight and size.
