Default Convert 991.2 GT Sports PDK wheel to non-MF, non-heated

I am in the process of shopping for a 991.2 GT Sports PDK, non-MF, non-Heat, non-SC steering wheel for my 991.1 SD PDK w/ Sport Chrono.

I need a GT Sports wheel, PDK, no sport chrono, no MF, no heat,

Suncoast sells this one for $1600 https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKURSGTWHL.html, however I would really like a wheel with red stitching and marker, which are $2325 for an aftermarket job (Ebay) or $3500 for OEM https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...018GT3ALC.html

From what I can see, the wheel above doesn't actually exist as is from Porsche. I have looked high and low for part numbers. From what I can see ALL GT Sports wheels are MF/Heated. My suspicion is Suncoast is taking the regular GT Sports wheels and removing the MF/heat from them, hence why a regular wheel is $995 but the ones without heat/MF are $1450. I called to inquire but they didn't want to divulge their 'trade secrets'.

For vehicles without multifunction steering wheel, additional components must also be ordered. This entails additional costs.
Does anyone know what these additional components are?

My suspicion is all that I need to do is buy a regular GT Sports wheel and buy the following parts below

Buy 3 of these rear covers, upper left, upper right, lower (Anyone have these part numbers?)
https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU718RST.html

Also buy these front covers? (anyone have the actual part numbers for the black ones?)
https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/718SLVTRIM.html

Can anyone confirm thats all I would need to do to delete MF/Heat from a MF/Heat wheel and still retain horn/PDK functionality on the wheel?

Where am I going with this? I am going down the road of buying the regular GT Sports heated/mf wheel for $995 + the front and rear covers for $150, and then sending it to a professional steering wheel wrapping service.

The GT wheel in my 991.2 C2S does not have heat or MF. Just FYI. So it does exist.

I purchased a MF PDK GT steering wheel off of eBay with red stitching for my manual 991.1 GTS. The airbag should be delivered this afternoon according to tracking info. What I have been able to determine is the PDK and MF parts just need to be removed and trim pieces installed that do not have the switches. It appears all the wiring harnesses are the same for manual and PDK. The only difference would be for heating. I already have the non-MF trims installed - ordered from eBay as well. The back cover needed to be replaced - the cover that came with the new steering wheel has openings for the PDK paddles - so I ordered a cover for manual cars, which will be arriving with the airbag. That part number is 95B-419-798-B-5Q0 Rear Cover $56.49. The steering wheel I purchased is also equipped with heating, however at this time, I'm not going to address that as it requires a different clock spring to accept the heating connection and some programming. I'll let you know how this goes after install. Should just be plug and play. Is this what you're looking to do?

You can remove the mf controls and install the blanks. I don’t have the part numbers but there are sellers on eBay that have the black inserts for the macan. You may have to reach out to them to inquire if there is no auction available.

Suncoast has them for $45 per side I believe.

All in on my conversion and just for the steering wheel components - so not including the airbag - $750 for the SW, $100 for the trims and $60 for the back cover, which the OP seems to not need as he has a PDK equipped car. Leather airbag from getporscheparts is $1450.

Thanks, yea I guess that was my question, is the wiring harness the same? If so just replace the MF controls/lower with the non-MF and move on with life.

Where did you find a $750 wheel? Would love that as this thing is getting sent off to get redone anyway, really a waste of a good new wheel.

Anyone have the part numbers for these things?

Upper Left, Right, Lower no heat
https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU718RST.html

And these in black
https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/718SLVTRIM.html

I want to place my order for the parts I need today so I can get the wheel converted to non-MF and then shipped out to get refinished

This is the place that is going to do the wheel. They have already done what I want a few times. I think it is going to run about $400.

This is all a big hassle, but IMO it is worth it to save $900 buying one already done and get exactly what I want.

This is the one I purchased. It's a tad larger than the OEM GT Sport wheel. It has a little more padding. I believe it came off of a Macan. I have no issues with the size as it's the same diameter as the Sport Design wheel in my GTS. https://www.ebay.com/itm/274714667974

I contacted GPPC and the airbag they said I needed is this one. 982-880-201-K-A34 Airbag Unit Black $1,472.98 1 $1,472.98 It would really not be cool if the one you posted is the same and would work. I guess I'll contact them again and find out what's what.

I have seen the number I posted cited as working a bunch of times on RL but LMK.

I think this number also works 95B-880-201-AE-A34

Didn't get delivery yet, but did hear back from GPPC. The airbag they said I needed is for. a Macan and is the airbag that evidently comes with the particular steering wheel I'm retrofitting. The airbag you posted is for a 718 Boxster. They are both leather. I asked about interchangeability but they said they didn't have any info on that. Ah well as long as this works, it's only money lol

I think 95B-880-201-AC-A34 is for 2015-2018 Macan, at least as per the parts sites, look at the vehicle fitment tab.
