Default Sold my Carrera T yesterday.

2019MY, MSRP 123,580$, PDK w/ bunch of non driving essential option (LED lights, Bose, 18 way seat, sport front, etc.)

Bought it used w/ 15k miles at $87K around 2020 May, put 6k miles on it. Carmax offer $96k, a local Audi dealer beat it w/ $97k.

Reason for sale: some driving engagement and fun still missing w/ PDK. A recent back injury cause me trouble every time getting in and out of the car and driving the car for more than half hour.

Agreed with above - hope your back injury improves. I'm sure it was still a great experience getting to own that car for a year.

Bad back or any other orthopedic issues can ruin the fun. Good call to sell the car now when the market is so high. Manual would probably have sold for more. But you got a good price and close to KBB trade-in value.

Sorry to hear that - I can sympathize - I drove my car cast/brace free for the 1st time in nearly two months yesterday, as my wrist is finally strong enough to shift it after surgery in early Nov. I'd loafed it around a few times to keep it healthy, but nothing is really like being about to flog and enjoy it.

Here's hoping your back injury heals quickly and you'll be back in a P-Car in no time!

Happy New Year!

Hope the new year finds you in a fun manual car! And best of luck on getting your back aliments fixed. I'm seeing my chiropractor Monday! I go once a month to keep every mostly aligned and loose.

Holy crap. Your spec is very similar to mine (I have sunroof but not 18-ways) and I paid 90 a year ago with nearly half as many miles.

It's a crazy world right now. Personally I'm not sure who will pay 95% of original MSRP for a 2.5 yrs old, 20k miles carrera T, it's not manual and didn't have a LWB seat.

agree with the point about Manual, LWB being a few items along with PCCB or PTS that would justify current crazy prices on the T, those who get a T with those items may have a more solid investment for whenever things go back to normal in 2-3 yrs.
I would also Add that if someone is getting out of a decent car and getting into another T (or any other 991 spec), they would be OK too ( financially) because they are getting top dollar for their trade/private sale so high prices are just numbers for those select few.

Unless there is some Yolo factor driving the purchase, getting into a "new" pre-owned car at these prices is pretty risky and would keep me from purchasing anything but the very special/hard to find specs. The real money being made by dealers is on trims and cars that are spec'd with generic/regular options but are riding the high wave of crazy prices, those buyers will have the most to lose.

just my subjective opinion, as I dont work in that industry

The T is a special car if not a Special Edition. There was no PTS offered on the 991.2 version. A 992 version is nowhere near guaranteed. And the whole dang world is in a YOLO situation right now... Normalcy is relative. Any car is worth whatever anyone is willing to pay for it, regardless of the goodies it has on it.

As I said above, tyhp, hope you re-enlist one day. Best to you until then!

Completely agree with you that eventually the decision come down to each individual's personal situation. Of course this is not the craziest price ever in today's world (e.g. the markup on new cars), but there are some T available with a lower price and preferred options (manual, LWB, etc), which are better choice in my opinion.
