They told me it would take 10 miles of driving or so at greater than 30mph (or something like that) and they would automatically sync. They didn't so I looked in the manual when I got home, did the steps, and by the time I hit the stop sign on my block they synced.

Good to know you did not have issues with it. It would such having to go back to the shop having them remove the tires an reinstalling i.e. spending another $120 - this is why I am hesitant.

No need for programming. they come programmed and all you do is mount them and do a relearn which all Porsche's are auto relearn so no tool needed.

My 991.2 GTS is now 5 Years old. I have 35,000 km's on it. I have tracked a lot. The TPMS is fine so far. Tracking it is one of the main things you are looking at. When tyres are coming on or going off.
I have modded it so much, most of the car is still brand new.

I just ordered some new wheels. I'll need to get another set for them.

This is the key point, "make sure they're 433 Mhz frequency."

sure they need to be 433 but that doesn’t mean any 433 works. You need the correct protocol. That is accomplished by either buying OE that comes already with the protocol or a “programmable” sensor that can be programmed.

Do you think these tpms will fit my 991.2 carerra 4S ?
the seller claims these are original tpms , and they dont need any additional setup .

(The new set that i wanna buy)

They also look like my original tpms that came from factory on my car .
( these photo below shows my original tpms that are currently on my car ) :

Sorry, I don't know. If you search back in this thread you'll find what I used. They work fine. Also I have 4 20-inch 991.1 wheels with summer rubber and the new TPMS sensors if youre interested. Perfectly balanced and ready to go. I decided to stay with all season and these are just taking up space in the garage. I'm in NJ.

Just wanted to add that I purchased TPMS from TPMSbargain.com for my 50th Anniversary replica wheels and they worked as expected.

Thumbs up!

Bringing this thread back to life, did these TPMS end up working on 991.2 2017?
