Is expensive and because its on the "bleeding edge" can eventually even be catastrophic. Sunroof, awd, pdk and some would even argue pdcc can all be costly options to maintain. That being said, if its under warranty or you have the beans who cares. For me pdcc is an amazing option and piece of technology I had to have but I understand the price. I would not risk any of the other above options.

What is being said here is not true. The 4S is more expensive all else being equal. Just put in your mileage and trim.

Drive a Turbo S and you’ll see why AWD is an interesting proposition for the 911.
Snow and bad weather is not a concern where I live. Yet, I intentionally bought a C4 over a C2 because I knew I would be adding power. My due diligence on this forum prior to purchasing my 911 showed that 991.2 C2’s have traction issues when turned.
Coming from a tuned C63S which was a RWD hoon machine, I wanted the 911 to put all the power down and stick to the road with confidence.
I’m at well over GTS power levels at the moment (running 10’s in 1/4 mile) and the car never spins tires in lateral acceleration. If you want to get the car sideways around a bend, the RWD bias will certainly let you. Best of both worlds IMO.
My intention was to make a Baby Turbo S and the C4 exceeded that by far. The launches are absolutely laughable and my particular C4 without a sunroof and a lightweight battery weighs less than most high spec’s C2S’s.
All things equal - mileage, year, condition, a C4 will be worth more than a C2. You’re not just getting AWD, you’re getting a GTS/GT3 widebody and that light bar which really sets it apart from other 911’s.

Maybe the Porsche numbers in the KBB program are just out of whack for whatever reason. The problem with that is dealers/private buyers use it as a guide, not Consumer Reports.
I'm in the process of trading in my 2018 Shelby GT350 as part of a deal to acquire a 911. Guess what the dealer referenced when negotiating a value for the Shelby? Yup, KBB.
