Softronic ECU tune
Looking for Softronic customer feedback. I’m contemplating getting this tune for my 991.2 C2S. The numbers look really impressive but numbers don’t tell the whole story. I’m really interested in peoples real world results. Do you feel that you are getting 100 more hp and 150 more torque? This is what Softronic claims. What has been your experiences. Any regrets? Any issues w dealer service?

I have had Softronic om my 17 PDK base with sports chrono. Love it. Transforms car and very linear power. No comparison with stock.
Not sure of their power claims and not really interested in making it a drag car. I just wanted more safe everyday power. I had a FVD tune and it was great but not so linear. I had a stumble at certain rpm with FVD that could not be fixed so they refunded my money and got Softronic. I would say the power was same between the two but FVD came on more is a sudden and not as linear. Customer service excellent with both and install was the same using My Genius. Easy to go back to stock and downloads take 15 minutes. Drivability is like stock. I drive in the winter so no issues in 20 degree weather and below. Fuel economy is slightly better than stock. I would never go back to stock.

Anyone with experience with a reliable aftermarket ECU calibration will NEVER want to go return to stock. These .2 are incredible when dialed in. (same goes for 991 turbo platforms)

I've had the tune on my Cayenne Turbo for a few months and love it. The HP claims they have for turbo cars feel legit and car is more drivable slow or fast . I have not done this to my 911 yet but will be soon.
Scott, the owner, is real deal from a technical standpoint and could not be friendlier in my experience. I reached out with questions before buying and he personally called me to go over them. I'd recommend them as a company and if you have any questions call or email. You will most likely hear back from the guy programming your car, not a sales guy.

Just to be clear, your tune is an APR tune, right? Just so that nobody's confused about the issues being with a Softronic tune. @asellus , What kind of weird random hiccups have you experienced? Also, which APR tune do you have?
Throttle is touchy a lot of the time, particularly around the vague transition point between out of boost and in boost it's not linear. Going from off throttle to neutral throttle shortly after boosting (ie accelerate, coast a little, maintain speed) sometimes lacks response like there's a temporary dead area in the pedal. While accelerating normally (~4-6psi up to 3-4k rpm) there are sometimes hiccups/jerks in the 2.5-3k range, like a misfire but no codes/counters and no affiliated sounds, just a buck/jerk like I lifted the throttle fully for a split second. A lot of the standard "yep this car has some aftermarket thing going on" stuff. Either that or something's wrong with my car, and that's kind of the crux of the issue here.

None of those problems with Softronic. As smooth as stock car. Had that problem with FVD

I have a '17 base Carrera, manual. Softronic, SOUL Headers & Sport Cats, Numeric shifter & cables, DSC controller. No issues, Scott is great, answers calls, e-mails, calls you back if you leave a message. Tune is easy to install and uninstall for service. The car is absolutely, noticeably much faster. No (extra) turbo lag, flat spots etc.. No turning back once you have this tune. I was at Watkins Glen and Summit Point HPDE this year, people were asking me about my car. Not that I'm Lewis Hamilton around the track, more so, the speed on the straights, it's definitely not stock. Given Scott writes a custom tune for your car, I don't understand why anyone would choose Cobb over Softronic, but I'm obviously biased.

Is it worth getting on a .1 C2S manual? I don’t think I’d even feel the 25hp or 25ftlbs in torque but perhaps I’m wrong. Anyone do this on a 991.1?
