Haha yeah I'd say that's the best spot for one...if I could drill an for an antenna. I'd never dare. That's why I have other vehicles for that.

Well, at last I am not the only licensed Amateur Radio Operator on the relist. Please note my working name.
A 2017 991.2 S Coupe and a 2016 Boxster GTS have not seen a VHF or HF antenna. Not sure the Porsche
computers would be compatible with a lot of RF.

It's nice to see others involved in the ham community. My daily is an Audi allroad and have yet to install a mobile rig. But I do not intend a roof antenna, maybe a window mount....we'll see.

Nice. I decided not to put a mobile into any of the cars. I have done so many audio, alarm, CB, etc installations I and just tired of doing them. I also tend to keep cars a long time so end up with antiquated aftermarket electronics after a while.

I have an HF rig home and a handheld 8w UHF/VHF in the car. It’s good enough to have fun with.

Wow, not even on my Corolla Hybrid, that’s hardcore. I’m a ham too, not much vhf/uhf, all about HF SSB, 73😉
