A different take on a rear seat delete
**EDIT**
Getporscheparts.com has physically ordered this part and confirmed it is what it is!
https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1268...l#post17846197
Part # 991-551-247-83-5Q0
We all have different reasons for deleting the rear seats in our 911. Some is for a roll bar, weight savings. Some is to make more room for a baby seat. I'm in the latter group.
As you can see, when you remove the rear seat bottom, some stuff is exposed that is unsightly and could be dangerous if someone is climbing around back there (like my buddy tinting the windows :P )
I ran into a listing here on rennlist listed as "Rear seat delete saddle cover" and scooped it up. I've never seen anything like it and it is a lot more economical solution to the GT3 rear seat delete https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...saAltdEALw_wcB
Part number is: 991.551.247.83_FFF
Installed:
Was wondering if anyone else has been able to source this part? The Part number doesn't really come up with something that would make sense to be that cover. The only story the previous owner of this part had was that he ordered it from Champion Porsche.
Not sure how many people would find this part useful but just sharing my experience on what seems to be a simple solution.

Paid $100 used cause I never saw it before. Did you find it for $45-50 somewhere? I know people would want to get one as well so if you could share that would be great.

I went a different route; I didn't want to lose the storage under the seats so I took them out and built two storage areas in the same area. Both compartments are lighted with LED's that work when you open the doors. The two tubes on either side hold small umbrellas. My car has the mahogany wood trim option so I'm trying to match the trim. The center consul is out of a GT2RS, and I still need to get it covered in leather to match the little doors. It's still a work in progress and I still have a ways to go to be complete.
