I assume you have spent some time on the configurator and priced out a new 992 GTS4 spec'ed exactly the way you want it? That might (or might not) make you feel better.

lol right. I would be in mid 160s without breaking a sweat. But that is for all the new tech plus new car although forever wait

Read this description from Porsche Colorado Springs on a 130k 16 Gts, for sale for 152k.

If it’s your ideal spec then make a deal and start having some fun. Back in 2018 I ended up ordering my 2019 GTS as demonstrators with 1K miles or less were going for not much less than MSRP. It was my first 911 and I couldn’t stomach paying near to the new price for a used car. I live in the SF Bay Area and there is too much money floating around and folks want instant gratification. I paid close to MSRP locally, but probably could have got a few percent off out of state. It took 9 months all in (waiting for an allocation, spec, build and the long wait for delivery) and I missed a whole summer as the car was not delivered until the end of October. If I were to do it again I would have made a deal on one of the demonstrators, skipped the wait and enjoyed a whole summer of driving. Good luck

I bought a CPO 2019 911 GTS with just under 6k miles in March of this year. MSRP was around 144k and I paid 135K and car came with full body PPF and a K40 radar alarm system. I've done a little over 6000 miles on her and have zero regrets. Yes.......I definitely over payed but I'm ok with it. I love the car and it makes me smile every time I drive it!!! Go buy it......your gonna have a blast with it!!!!

Well then, think of all the money you'd be saving by taking the car off the lot. Go for it if you like the spec, the few extra grand due to the current market will be irrelevant when it's in your garage.

Because you are asking about depreciation, the better question to ask yourself is, "Am I ok with my purchase in 2 years when the 991.2 depreciation curve re-calibrates to what it is supposed to be on a 4 year-old model with the appropriate 40-50% drop for that model year when I bought a used 2 year-old vehicle at MSRP?"

I think you could get a better deal than you think. I tested the waters with my 2017 GTS cabriolet asking 129K then dropped to 127K. No interest. I really don’t think it would really sell for much more than 115K which would barely cover my OTD last December. That’s astounding considering I got it from a dealer but it won’t last. The GTS (as are most 911) asking prices are outrageous but actual sale prices are probably much lower. No, my car isn’t a POS and has lowish miles. You car WILL depreciate no matter what. You will probably lose some money. These are toys. If you want one, get one and enjoy it.
