The top mount to the suspension of the vehicle.

Usually it manifests as a really loud squeak while it's failing. When I had this happen on my 2017 I recorded this video:

Wow! I'd like to know more about this. What does the repair entail? I imagine that this is covered under the original warranty but would something like this be covered by a highly rated aftermarket warranty (ie. Fidelity Platinum)?

Yep - several have had this failure, including me. When I tried to get it fixed the first time, the dealer blew me off. Thanks to a local RL'er who also had this problem and got it diagnosed correctly/fixed, mine was addressed the second time around.
