Hood auto open function
What should be the exact location when you have the key in your pocket and hold your hand in front of the hood emblem in order to have it opened ? I did try but it was likely the hand should be placed slight to the right of the emblem ? But it doesn't work all the time. Any input appreciated.

Lower left of the Porsche crest. Or, anytime you're washing the car.

Do you need comfort access for this to work?

made this video last time this came up, enjoy!
as with above, you don't wave/move your hand. it just needs to be present within that area for a second or two to pop. the mashing hand around is a joke.

this feature is an enigma. Sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes it doesn't work at all and you look like an idiot. It always works when you're washing your car.

This is the only feature that works consistently for me. The door lock/unlock is my nemesis with my 911. Works as it should only about 50% of the time. Other times I have to press the unlock/lock button multiple times. The quirks of owning a Porsche I guess...

you actually might want to get that checked out.

My reading of the manual makes me think that if the car hasn't been used in a few days that this feature and some others go to sleep (perhaps to conserve the battery). That might contribute to some of the problems.
But when I picked up my car, I tried it and it didn't work. The sales guy said it wasn't installed. But since the manual suggested it should work, I tried again and it has worked consistently for me since.
I place my hand, palm up, near but not touching the bumper, just the left of the emblem, and move it slowly to the right. Your mileage may vary.

Very cool, had no idea this was a thing. Just tried it on mine and it works. I guess a downside to buying the car off the internet from 700+ miles away, no one on one with sales guy to go over the car/features.
