but IMO to each their own. Just get what puts a smile on your face and then share that smile with family, friends, and even an occasional stranger along the way (like a little 8-yr old kid that can’t stop looking at your car with amazement). The only thing I can say is if you buy either of these cars for collectibility, which has been mentioned, you will NOT enjoy it. Instead you will fret every time you drive the vehicle (which both are meant to be driven) and worry about every stone along the way…and there’s a lot of stones out there!
Miami blue with the contrasts of the titanium grey T bits and the PCCBs is fantastic. Thanks for sharing! And agreed, collectibility not really on my radar for these modern 911s. Just want to get out and drive.
.Looking at the market, I often see many 911Ts with No RAS, No FAL, Glass Sunroof, PDK, etc etc.
Trying to follow the FAL logic. Is it considered “sporting” because GT3s can be spec’d with it? If you don’t need it, FAL just adds weight and complexity, exactly what you don’t want in a lightweight, “purist” version.

Mostly unnecessary, but helpful if (like in my case) you have the lower fascia on the Sport Design package…

Only car - get the newer / turbocharged T, it's going to be easier to tool around it on commutes w/ the low end torque + modern infotainment.
Have something else for a daily driver - get the 991.1 GTS, it's one of the apex NA/manual 911's and will be worth owning both from a driving experience as well as financially, IMO.
Great thread and great responses. I can’t add anything that hasn’t already been discussed. My vote is for the T.
I recently went through the same decision.
Framework of analysis:
1. what will likely have a better residual value
2. what is more unique
3. what will be more “fun”: define fun the way you see fit
4. is your ideal spec actually and reasonably attainable
5. will you hold it long term
My opinions/ answers
1. T
2. T
3. T, because if it’s capability of changing with mods. (e.g. responsiveness to tune, exhaust, etc)
4. Kind of, if you can acquiesce to one or two options then definitely
(my ideal spec: manual, RAS, sunroof delete, 18 way,)
would love lwb: but I need back seats for my kiddo
would love PCCB: but this is primarily an aesthetic desire
would love: sport design front bumper and rear spoiler wing, but looks good either way.
5. Yes
