This Really Grinds My Gears
Literally!
On my 4GTS (.2), under spirited driving events, I've noticed while going into 3rd and sometimes 4th that the gears grind and it's hard to put in gear. Normal driving, perfectly fine.
The cars got 55k miles, and AFAIK, it's the original fluid. I know it's "lifetime" fluid, which we all know is a load of pewp. And my previous VWs had the same issue and was *sorta* corrected with a fluid change (but one had 440k and the other over 250k miles).
So, has anyone performed a manual trans fluid change on a .2. And, if so, was it involved or a simple drain/fill?
OR is this a legitimate issue that's been seen/heard of that is more in depth than just a fluid change? (Worn forks, worn/broken synchros, etc..) t

Hasn't happened to me and don't expect it to anytime soon as my 991.2 MT is still under 10k miles but I'd be curious to hear about anyone who's had to change their MT fluid. Doesn't sound normal though. Perhaps change or add something to title of thread so that people know what you're getting at. like "Anyone have to change the MT fluid?"

Any chance that when you're driving more spiritedly, you're not pressing down the clutch 100% of the way? I'm sure that you are, but figured you could rule that out. I am also wondering if the shifter cables could need some adjustment, but that seems less likely.
Fluid change should be easy enough, although I have no experience on a 991. Also cheap enough to do that it would be the first step to take. Report back after you do so.

Three Wheelin'
Quick recommendation; if you can, have someone else you trust drive the car to see if they can duplicate.
Not throwing shade, and at least I'm not the only one suggesting the problem might be the nut behind the steering wheel (at least according to Google translate)! But it's worth a shot, because yeah this doesn't sound normal.

I just changed fluid on my car with Motul 75-90 and it's slightly quieter and feels smoother.
If it's not loose shifter cables, it might be the trans mount. This will help with sloppy shifting...
