No wires for Carplay / charging is definitely the way to go and it was a minimal cost for a considerable gain in convenience. I've posted the pic before but it helps to illustrate the point:

So that’s 2 items, right? 1) The wireless CarPlay; and 2) wireless charger. Can you please share the wireless charger make/model?

I leave the phone in my pocket. I'm always jumping in and out and don't want to take my phone out just to plug in and have CarPlay start. Wireless is great. leave your phone in your pocket. If you are on a longer trip, yes, plug it in. No need for wireless on a long trip. Daily driver -wireless carplay all the way. Weekend driver yeah not needed. Polish and park... definitely not needed. I use this exact same device on my highlander, and love it. CarPlay is great, I just had always taking out my phone and plugging it in, then getting out and having to grad my phone, I'm just running into the hardware store. Well worth a $100.

Actual I have both. I put one in my 911 and one in my wife's Highlander. I prefer the white one. Sleeker and the cable can be removed.

Is this working on the 991.2 ? For short drives would be a good solution.

Dumb question - is this model available in black? I’ll buy white if not.

not sure. But you don’t ever see it. It sits under center console lid.

Oh and a short cable to keep things tidy:

Amazon Amazon

To power the charging pad, I ran the wire from the passenger footwell plug (w/ a flush mounted usb car adapter plugged in) tucked in under the trim. No tools needed. With the console closed, no wires are visible.

I had the 1st version and gave up on it when I would end a phone call while in navi mode, it would not resume my route after hanging up. Did the same thing with music.

Just ordered one from Amazon and it will be here tomorrow. Curious on how this will work with Porsche Track Precision App via Apple Car play. This could be a game changer.
