Totally not stupid because I never thought of this. I figured because I am tapping the DRL wire from the front bumper power is sent to the light. Will try messing with the switch. Thank you!

For I am George! lord of the idiots!

toggled the switch and we have lights. The bumper DRL is disconnected in the pic. It works too.

thanks for the helpful hint. @JuanK20

This is really neat, I think that will be my next mod. Any tips as where to source a 991.2 xenon headlight (non-PDLS)?

Check with RENNLIGHTS.com - Paolo is very knowledgeable about the different versions of these lights. He helped me a-lot. @RENNLIGHTS They sell refurbished sets but he does not always have stock. The other option is to scour EBAY daily. I had to buy each from different buyers. Sent one to Paolo to be refurbished. Good luck!

Looks great and good work on making the retrofit work! The lights are probably the biggest thing I dislike on my 991! I will most likely just go the route of some Rennlight painted version as I don't think I would want to tackle this lol!

Thanks, it really was not that big of a job. I made it more difficult by over thinking some of it AND not thinking about stupid things like the light switch. haha The unfortunate part is the 991.2 lights require to remove the front bumper cover. Sourcing the lights took some time just waiting for the right part numbers to pop up on ebay. I found GT versions but was advised that those lights will or could cause errors or need to be coded. So! If anyone is looking to do this retro fit here are the part numbers I used. The ballasts are readily available on ebay too.

Nice, and the GT headlights should be the exact same thing as long as they aren't PDLS+. Mine came off of a GT3.

Hey guys, do you know if 991.631.198 RIGHT would work for a .1 with PDLS?
