Summer wheel setup installed. The black wheels dramatically change the look of the car from the silver winters setup (above).

Does this count? The closest match to Chevy engine "Red Orange". The valve covers are Lava orange, the rest of it is the Chevy color. Id say it's a pass! (This is my goin to town rig, 1986 K35 GMC)
And, ofcourse, my Lava GTS.

Threw some window tint on the fronts (35%) and windshield (70%) to balance things out. Prior owner had only done the rear and side quarter windows (is it illegal to tint fronts in CA?).

I’m loving the front window tint. Looks good and I think it’s good for the UV protection. Any issues seeing at night?

@FlintGTS I have 35% VLT on the fronts of all my cars. Most trucks w/ factory "privacy glass" option in the back are a little bit more than 20% VLT, so a bit darker than the front. But I wouldn't go any darker than 35 on the front personally.
At 35% VLT night vision is adversely effected in one particular scenario: a 90 degree turn in an area with no street lights. You can clearly see a car with headlights coming, but in that scenario I will take a moment to roll down the window and bit and be sure there isn't something w/o headlights coming (person, bicycle, deer, elk, moose, bear, great horned owl, sandhill crane, mountain lion, barn car or any one of the innumerable other creatures lurking in the Montana night).
I chose a dark, colorless ceramic tint to match the black accents on the car. If you want a little point of contrast, here is my 996 with a lighter tint (55% VLT) that has a slightly grey/blue hue. I've heard it referred to as a "European Tint." I think it goes well with the grey car.

@FlintGTS Just occurred to me that when you said "front" maybe you were talking about the windshield? If so, that's 70% VLT, absolutely no issues at night, and I would be very surprised if anyone could tell that there was anything on there. Manufacturer claims it blocks like 90% of the heat energy from the sun. With a full leather dash I'm eager to protect it from the strong high altitude sun we get here.

I'm a total **** for this color. Had to get the color matched key fob, and key holder with lava stitching! Outrageous cost for this piece of plastic, but somehow I'm still thrilled. Also, another gratuitous lava pic (winter wheel edition).

Every time I see this thread popup in my updated threads feed I think, "Did some P-car dude grow a new hybrid cannabis sativa/indica mix?" They often put silly words like "crush" after an equally silly name for their buds.
