When does it wear off? Or does it?

5 years and 71,000 miles. I still go out to the garage...

Got my 2013 C2S Cab in November. Like everyone else, I find reasons to drive it every day. In late February, we had an 8-inch snowstorm here in Central IL followed by two weeks of temps below freezing, resulting in terrible road conditions. The 911 stayed in the garage for those two weeks and it nearly killed me. I drive it to the grocery store; to Home Depot; to the post office; etc. And nearly every day I just grab the keys and go for a 30-minute drive somewhere. I've never experienced this with a car before, including a succession of BMW's. They were fun. The 911 is . . . it just cannot be described.

First, no knot in my stomach every time I start it waiting for a $5000 dash light to come on. The Porsche is just so smooth yet precise. Also, you get more than one speedy car. In normal mode you get a civil speedy car. In sport or (gasp) sport+ you get a holy s*#t fast speedy car. Maybe it’s sitting in a high quality cockpit where you don’t have to look past blistering leather and melting control buttons or waiting for the top to leak. When l would get back from driving the Ferrari I’d be relieved nothing happened. In the Porsche, I’m truly reluctant to put her in the garage.
Thanks for sharing, its those knot in the stomach feelings that leave me no interest in those cars.

You also made an entire thread complaining that used 991s were out of your budget. I don't think you're in the target demographic for the 992.
Also, I'd like to hear in your words what makes the 992 so terrible to justify all the extra o's.

I wouldn't worry about it wearing off... I'd worry about it getting worse.
I still get a rush of serotonin every time I turn on the lights in my garage and see my 991 sitting there. It's almost like I'd forgotten for a brief moment that I made at least one good choice in my life... There's no better way to start a day than "remembering" that I have a 911.

That feeling when you first get the car......it’s indescribable, at least for people who aren’t good with words like myself.
Im a month in though and I still NEED to drive it every day, I’ll make up excuses to drive it.
Does it wear off? Or do you still crave driving yours even after years of ownership?

“Look! My car is more expensive than yours!”
I love my car, go ahead and love yours but it doesn’t make you a better person in any way.
