Boost gauge not working
I recently bought a 2019 C2S MT, and everything works just fine, except I cannot get the boost gauge to work. I have read about it on other threads, and may just take it to the Porsche dealer, but was just wondering if anyone had any DIY quick fix ideas? The unit of measure is set to PSI, and it won’t budge.

Just for the hell of it, move your boost display down into the main display area, (where water and oil temps are displayed) and see if it makes a difference. Sounds crazy, but it will only take 5 minutes to see if it’s the display and not the lack of boost causing the problem.

It works in all modes. You actually have to go surprisingly hard to see boost - it’s definitely easier in Sport+ mode - put it in that, and floor the throttle for a bit. If you don’t get any boost readout greater than zero, either something is wrong between your boost sensor and the display, or you’re actually not getting any boost. That could mean a diverter valve failure or a hole in a vacuum tube somewhere. It’s apparently all too easy, as my recent GTS turbo install showed, for the vacuum tube to get cut by the serpentine belt if it becomes unclipped! Apparently when they first put things together and tested it, they got zero boost. Couldn’t figure it out, then found the culprit - a vacuum tube had been cut by the serpentine belt.

Thank you all for the suggestions. This exactly what I was looking for. I have tried all positions and that doesn’t seem to work. Also, I don’t have SC, so I don’t have Sport+, right? The vacuum tube cut, hole or loose theory sounds good. Also, I will take her out again and wind it up just to make sure it’s not moving.

Does your car feel like there is no power? A boost leak is more likely than a bad MAP sensor. But you would still have some sort of boost build up unless it was a massive leak in which case you would be able to hear it.

I am thinking (hoping) that its just the gauge. The car appears to be running fine. Guess I'll take it into the dealer to look at it. Thanks guys.

Third gear, 3000rpm. Coast to 2800rpm. Now floor it. You should feel the turbos spool, as if you're rolling onto the throttle despite mashing it. It's extremely pronounced, despite everyone claiming the 991.2s "feel n/a" -- if you don't feel this, something's mechanically awry.
