HA! Regular fuel is $1.51/liter (Canadian) here in Vancouver this morning. That's $6.00/gallon... That's over $4.50/usd gallon but realistically, we earn in $CDN what I would in $USD if I lived south of the border, so it really is $6.00/gallon versus income. Brutal stuff.

Good lord! I guess it's a privilege to live in Canada.. God save the queen.. We took a cruise to Alaska a few years ago and stopped in Victoria, I was doing the litre-gallon math in my head, that's crazy..

Honestly, the price of gas is insignificant when you measure 911 mileage in smiles-per-mile!
I try not to look anymore. I aspire to make my Targa a member of the million mile club before I die. Basically, die smiling!

FWIW... I am in the process of "extracting" the rear seat belts (nightmare job on a Targa) to get the webbing changed. It is fun.
Acid green webbing from a 981 Spyder will match perfectly with my interior stitching.

The Queen said to say hi and glad you came for a visit! Come back soon.

Looks awesome, I hope the paint holds up! In the 996 era (maybe even 993, not 100% sure) Black calipers were standard and red, yellow and silver were optional colors. I think the option was like 500 USD at the time. Yellow is commonly associated with PCCB's but even today you can now get PCCB's in black. Here are the option codes from the 996 era.

CRD Red brake calipers
CRE Silver brake calipers
CRF Yellow brake calipers

In my book you just added option code CRF Enjoy!
