The odometer is my smile record.

I don't understand why owners stop the cars for the winter. Or never take it out if it is raining. It's a car. I have faith that the German engineers put enough thought into the car to allow it to be driven in all types of weather. The 991 isn't a Duesnnenberg or the like. I read threads where people drain the oil for 24hours and send their oil for analysis every oil change. "Hybernation"..."winter slumber". "Only put 3k miles on her a year". Crazy to me. If i have an opportunity to drive my 991, you bet your a$$ I will be driving it. But that's the great part of life, we (most of us anyway) all do things to the beat of our own drum. If not, a P-car would be unattainable to a lot of us as every human would be trying to get one!

Bought a 2018 CPO with 5200 miles at the beginning of the year.
Now at 11k and I am just getting started.

Interesting... where in my post did I say there is no discussion? I gave my opinion, you have given yours. That's called discussion where I come from, not "position". When you start calling my opinion a "position", you are stopping the "discussion"....

Love it! Classic.

I might of been a little harsh this morning, I do understand everyone has their reasons for what they do, and I certainly shouldn't judge.

One thing for sure, we all love our 911's!

I have just under 26,000 miles on my 19 Carrera T. All put on by me and I plan on putting A LOT more miles on it. I drive it every chance I get and did not buy it to be a garage queen. Best car I have owned yet!

Jimmiejam: It was this: "..Everyone enjoys their stuff in different ways so, who cares? Not me.....

The implication of that statement seems to mean that my "opinion" has no basis and need not be discussed. Sorry if I misunderstood, but words matter.

All good, now let's move on and enjoy our cars as much (or little) as we'd like!

Low mileage in my opinion is like 1000 miles per year. That car was not driven a lot. Some people have MANY cars and can't drive them all regularly. People will buy what they want AND can afford. Some want low mileage cars but can't swing the price increase compared to same car with higher miles. Some want pristine condition but that will cost you. Some flip cars regularly so they might want a cheap specimen so they lose less upon resell. Many drivers want different things. Your car will sell for less compared to a similar car with lower miles but more than a high mileage equal example.

Lol, could not resist that comment.. For the record, we have a Macan and a new BMW 330xi for winter use, so we're well covered with German engineering during my off season.

I drive my P car year round. I bought it to drive it. At my age, it will most likely be my last so I enjoy it whenever I can. BUT, the market places a purchase premium on low mileage cars for a reason. The lower the miles, the higher the price. The marketplace collectively speaks for all buyers and sellers at any given time.
