I think its traction control.

I had some earlier issues, but since running full traction off, there was one tiny issue xoming onto the straight.

With M800’s its no longer there. The power is no longer a smack in the face, rather it a constant build that is endless all the way through redline.

So zero issues now with full traction off.

Then i had a roll race and forgot to turn it off, Nd the car hit the rev limiter and refused to shift for a second. So it is 100% a traction control intervention.

Full off is way better!

So this means just have the traction control button always-on/or pressed. Having the traction control off still wouldn't be fully off as the car would still try to intervene to a point?

Yes, even when off, it seems to still be in the background.

COBB has a dyno mode, that really kills everything, but it takes ABS out as well.

I am going to test at track, in dyno mode, conscious of no ABS, and if its as pure as i believe it will be, I need to pester COBB or a programmer to code ABS back in, whilst in Dyno mode. The ultimate track setting.

I can live without ABS. I'm old school.

I’m considering it. I was always taught cadence braking, so my natural instinct is to release the brakes and reapply. Just need to run a few controlled tests at the track.

Alternatively, buy a MoTeC ECU, and have full control.

we need a group buy to create the market.

A one off at $20k AUD is a bit savage.

But 5 people at $10k AUD is a no brainer.

It's great to read through this thread. I own a 2018 Base Carrera and proceeded to order the following:

TiAL 991.2 M660 Hybrid Turbos
Soul Performance Porsche 991.2 Carrera (without PSE) Street Package - (Performance Exhaust System (with Anti-Drone Tubes) + Sport Catalytic Converters)
Vektor Performance 991.2 Equal Length Headers with Optional Swain Tech Coating
TiAL 991.2 Intercooler System
TiAL 991.2 Turbo Inlet Elbows
TiAL 991.2 Light Weight Air Inlets
IPD Intake Plenum
APR R1 Diverter Valves
BMC Performance Air Filter (991.2 Carrera / Carrera S)

I'm currently on APR Stage 1 and absolutely loved the difference it made. Until APR releases the M660 file (if they ever do) I will be running APR Stage 3 tune on 93 oct. I know it wont be optimized for the bigger turbos and might consider getting a custom tune if the car doesn't drive well or if during data login I see anything un-safe. Can't wait to see the difference it makes!

I'm grateful to have found this forum and meet people who have done this as well. I appreciate the knowledge and information shared.

Damn, that's a solid build. It's going to rip! With the bigger turbos, it'll basically act like a bigger exhaust on the same tune. And the bigger compressor wheels will reduce intake air temps at the higher engine speeds which will increase power too.

You think it’ll be safe to run the Stage 3 tune then? Good for racing and beating on it or should I be careful driving it until properly tuned? Either way I plan to do some logs to see how everything is working together.

Thanks for the reply!

Tyler at APR recommended to NOT run the 660's on the APR tune. Said he had made quite a few calibration changes on his 660 file, which isn't available yet (or ever?)

I’ll have to try it out for myself and determine which route to take. I have a friend with a 991.2 that has the M660s and now swapped to M800 and is currently running it on the APR tune without issues. Maybe @Tyler@APR can chime in?
