Default Plastidipped my wheels

It was actually pretty easy with a kit from dipyourcar. Went with bronze, which I think works well with the black. Vintage BBS was more like a gold, but I like the TE37 color.

Man, you’re creative. Love the style.

The wheels look great. What was the cost and effort?

< $100 and maybe an hour of work. It's important to watch the 15 min youtube video. I have PCCB so cleaning the wheels was much easier, because no brake dust.

So amazing what one can do to personalize their cars! I only learned about PPF and wrapping cars when I bought my 911 in 2017 (my last care worthy sports car before this was 2004), and now spray painting wheels?! Lol so cool.

question: i switch out tires 3-4 times a year (track days and winter/summer tires). Would this spray withstand tire changes?

Thanks for posting this. Nice car.

Looks great! I Plasti Dipped the wheels on my 2011 Cayman S. They turned out fantastic. Stood up to the elements and frequent washing with no problem at all. I got lots of compliments, and people were shocked at how good the Plasti Dip looked. And if you don't like it, Just peel it off.

I think you'll be fine. Maybe use a few extra coats and build up a good, tough coating. If you do manage to damage the dip, it's easy to touch it up.

I had dipped the wheels on my last CTS DD. They made it through a tire change untouched by the guys at the local Costco. Still looked good when I sold the car 3.5 years later...it's in the process and build up of the dip.
