Always wondered where is my 991.2 Diverter Valve? Me too

Sorry to hear some didn't receive. I have a feeling these are sent from APR direct from distributor.
If this is the case, which I suspect it is, then tbf it's not there fault although communication sounds like it could have been better.
I also note APR USA website says stock due august so it's clearly a stock issue at APR HQ rather than this specific company.
Not yet fitted mine but quality seems outstanding so really excited to get them fitted next month or 2.

Plugs don't require a bumper removal. Diverter valves do. So there isn't really any crossover in labor. My guess is that this is about a 2 hour labor job by an indy experienced with 991.2s. I've yet to do mine but it will probably take me all freakin day when I go to do it since I likely take my time and lots of pics/video.
My wife gets mad at me every time she sees the car in this state :-)

@Sarawnty Yeah, mine does too. I see you got the Flat Six DVs. May I ask what the wire thingy that seems appears to wrap around the DV is? Also, did you have to remove the pipes to install the DVs or was that not necessary?
I have the FVD tune and found boost would dial back a few psi at peak. These seemed to solve that problem.

The wire is safety wire to keep the tube nipple from ever coming off the DV. The tube nipple simply slips on to the end of the DV. I doubt it would ever slip off but wanted added assurance that I wouldn’t have to take everything apart in the event that the tube nipple came off. I found it easier to remove the entire intercooler cage and intake plumbing to get at the DVs.

I have the same DV and the nipple can't come off because it has a lock on it when you install the nipple on the DV. To release it you have to get a small pick and get underneath the nipple to release the clip. It won't pull off no matter how hard you pull.

@Dark_horse I may be going a similar route. Im swapping out my cats and will looking to swap diverter valves when the cats are out of the car. Do you think that will make it much easier to install?
You can also see in my pictures how exposed it is with just one heat shield removed.

you weren’t lying. Staring me right in the face once the cats came out. Turned out to be the easiest thing I’ve done since setting out to upgrade by cats.
