Anyone know the correct direction in which the APR R1s should be installed? #1 or #2?

Your dog recommends #2.

thanks. Yes, he was figuring it out with me haha. I figured the diaphragm pushes up that way, wanted to be certain.

#2 looks correct but what hose is that (intake/inlet)? The best way to tell would be if you can post a pic of the valves showing the inside of the ports. The one sealed by the diaphragm goes to the pressure side.

are the diameters of the male portions of the diverter valve the same? It look like #1 would be a loose fit and #2 would be a proper fit.

Yes, both sides are the same diameter. On my photo it looks off but they're the same. After some more research as to how these work, the turbo air pushes the piston/diaphragm up and the air recirculates back into the intercooler in this direction:

It's snowing and cold here in the northeast but as soon as it gets a bit warmer I'm going to add these along with the do88 turbo inlets. I should've added these when I added the csf intercoolers.

Gotcha-makes sense now. You are installing on a 991 turbo/turbo s.

Could a leaking diverter valve be the reason my GTS only sees 16 psi when I think it is supposed to reach 18 psi?

Got a question on this topic. Hopefully someone can help.

I had the GoFast Diverters installed recently. Upon getting on WOT the car overboost to 30+ psi when target according to Cobb AP is 20psi from the stage 2 ots map. Butt dyno also felt the car wasn’t as engaging before install and felt “airing” out as the rpms were climbing.

I had the tial intercooler, tial ic inlets, tial turbo inlets installed during this as well.

is it most likely one of the lines got linked or damaged?

TIA

I had mine replaced with TurboSmart ones.

For those asking why, the stock ones are rubbish. When we took mine out, just as a precaution, we tested the stock one and one had failed.

Stock ones start to open the more pressure. Whereas after market ones are held closed by more pressure. Read that again. After market ones are meant to be reverse, so when you increase boost, it doesn’t force them open, it holds them closed, so no boost leaks.

So if there's no boost leaks.... I guess there's an improvement in performance and car would respond faster. Can you confirm if this is true ?

Would there be any impacts on emissions ?

Changed mine out. I didn’t mess with the intercooler or the cage. Just removed one heat shield and I had more than enough space to change it out.

How has it failed? At what mileage? and what boost are you running?
