Pzeros suck period.

I run Sport Cup 2s 29F 32R. When I’m driving wild on streets (within legal limits ehem) during summer heat days, that cold pressure will bring me up to somewhat close to 35F/R hot. I run 35F 35R Hot at track. That keeps my tire inflated just enough to keep the grip grippy while maintaining longevity. My two cents!

Default Might wanna shop that

Discount tire got me to 1500 for N spec. I deal directly with GM who is a car guy. They also have the only touch less mounting machine in town.

I talked to the Porsche dealer and researched here. For stock power levels and anything less than 10/10 track days, they are completely excellent for DD's. Handle wet, temperature etc much better than Sport Cup 2s. I drove a buddys .1 GT3 with fresh Cup 2s and it was fantastic on back roads. But PS4s are enough unless you're tracking it heavily. Much less expensive too. For the GTS (with CL Turbo wheels) - I'm at 1900 installed. SC2s are about 4-500 more and have less life in them.

If you want something between the PS4 and Cup 2s, the Pilot Sports are a great option. That's literally where they sit in the product range. I want to do more trackdays with mine, so that's probably where I'll go next, FWIW. Much better suited to the road also, while still more performance on track.

Yes, it's like a different car. They are quiet, smooth and they hook. The P Zero's had to go.

What model do you drive? What are the wheel widths?

I have been wondering after the P0 wear out what size tires I’d put on the factory 19C4GTS centerlock wheels that are 9 front and 12 rear.

Thanks

I just crossed 10k miles on my P zeros. The car was a NE car, stored in a garage and this winter in KY was harsh, recording some garage temps of low 40s. I dont know how much that contributed to the wear. But I just picked up some fresh 245/35/20 and 305/30/20 PS4s, N0. The drive back, they had the PSI at 45 and it was 58* and a bit damp. I could break the p zeros loose in 2nd gear and 1st was almost useless. The PS4s hooked a launch control launch and I was blown away. Did a panic stop and picked up 1.05 G, .98 on launch. Very pleased. Now I feel comfortable exploring the cars limits. I've enjoyed Pirelli for their Scorpion line and always looked up to P zeros since the F40 days but wasn't impressed. Only had them from 8200-10100 miles October onwards. Also less low speed maneuvering chatter. Really changed the character of the car.

Jack, I'd just go with factory. with a 4GTS, you'll hook

You can go 265 and 325 with your wheels no problem
