Ive also been told the GTS has a slightly more aggressive suspension setup, but I can't seem to find any literature on that.
The GTS likely has some nice suspension stuff, lower PASM setup, tuning and limited slip. Again incremental and better exploited at the track. A bit of comfort ain’t bad though and the S is decently stiff.

Like many others though, if you are considering a manual at all you will regret the PDK. So you have more than enough here to make a decision - what are you getting?

I was considering a manual and initially only test drove manuals both 991.1 and 991.2. Then I reluctantly drove a PDK and fell in love. It’s is such a good transmission and so much fun to drive manually. I love the way it shifts, especially the speed.

i wanted a C4S and ended up with a GTS. It just feels like more of the 911 I wanted, especially with the GTS interior package. It’s feels a lot more sporty than the S cars I drove.

Anyway, test drive a bunch and see what calls to you. You won’t have much choice though. The inventory at Porsche Vancouver and Weissach is almost 0.

I had an Audi TT MT and then went to the 3.2L Audi TT with DSG. Had a 997.2 C4S with PDK and now in a 991.1 C4S MT. Personally, the Manual transmission is a must, keeps you engaged and adds to the driving experience. The Numeric shifter made a world of difference, I cannot imagine having much shorter shifts.

As others have stated here, it's all personal preference and what you seek in the driving experience.

I’m on my 7th Porsche. My base ‘14 is the first one I’ve owned that isn’t a manual.

The jury is still deliberating, but I definitely do not dislike the PDK.

I own a 991.2 4 GTS PDK. Love Love Love. and its a keeper for life.

With that said, it would be nice to own a manual classic 991 911 10-20 years from now.

I say if you are buying as a keeper, buy the manual. if its only temporary, you will love the PDK, especially if you track.
