I remember driving my first P-car hard and too being worried about the burned smell. Common thing on all P-Cars.... curious to see what the OP finds in regards to the loss of oil.

the burning smell is the exhaust/cats. once I went with a catless exhaust it went away.

so if you go cat-less I assume you live in an inspection free state? What set up do you have?
