Does anyone have a fix for the buzzing or rattling coming from the 991 Climate Control buttons? When I decelerate and the engine reaches a certain rpm, about 4500 or so, my climate control buttons really get your attention, especially the fan control button. Many of the buttons start buzzing which is really unfortunate since Porsche is supposed to be about build quality, not rattles and buzzing components. The dealer has replaced the unit 1X already "under warranty" but this unit is really no different. The buttons simply rattle around and come into full harmonic annoyance on engine deceleration.

I was thinking of squeezing some felt strips to fill up the gaps around the buttons but felt strips that small will only fall into the body of the control unit and be lost. I'm at a loss as to what could be done to resolve this. If the control unit can be removed and the buttons accessed then maybe I'd give that a try. Does anyone have information on how to take apart the climate control unit?

I helped a friend solve his 991.2 climate control rattling button issue.
I've enclosed a pdf that explains all the steps.
This is very easy to do. Do not bother paying for a new or used Climate Control Unit. I don't think anyone has attempted to open up the $800+ Climate Control Unit but there's nothing to it. It's a very basic plastic cheaply made device.

Hmm, I wonder if this is what I'm hearing. I just push lightly on the edge of the PCM screen and my noises go away. Thought it was just the felt not being juuuust right when I reinstalled it.

I'll have to look into this next time I have things apart. Thanks!
