I really dislike my black gauge faces, particularly in the bright daylight. I find it hard to see the RPMs unless I'm looking down very intently at it and that requires taking my eyes too much off the road. I would love white (first choice) or red (second choice). I see that Suncoast sells replacement gauge faces but I know these are not OEM - I believe they are overlays. I would love to see anyone's aftermarket gauge faces installed. Can you tell they're aftermarket or do they blend in perfectly?

Looks like some info here:

You’ve seen white gauges, right? I had them on my 981S and the needles were impossible to see in daylight, in particular the rev counter. Also, all the telltales appear black (temp, etc). At night they were fine.

I changed the gauge faces on my 2011 Cayman S. It was originally an American car, but I'm in Canada so I wanted the European spec gauges. It was a fairly easy swap. You have to be patient and work a bit like a surgeon when it comes to removing the needles and plastic bushings that hold the gauge face down. I bought my new face from Heiler Tachodesign in Germany. You can customize your new face in almost every way imaginable. Price is very reasonable too, and quality is top notch.

Actually love the grey tach on my stock c2s. I can see the red needle very well for the most part.
the white gauges show too much of the cutouts. Too busy
