Default Light 19 wheels for 991.1 base ?

I'm looking to get a second set of wheels. I currently run the base "poverty spec" 19s on my car, and everytime I yank the rears and almost bust a gut, i am reminded that the car - especially in base trim, would greatly benefit from less unsprung weight, even a couple lbs should be noticeable.
I really like the carrera S III design esthetically but they are 20s are apparently heavier than what I have already. There's lot of offset / spacer discussion out there, but I haven't found a consensus on light wheels for the base car that don't cost a property tax payment ;-) Has anyone researched lightweight 19s and come up with some nice options that are known to fit the most basic of all 991s ? ;-)

Ok, so bearing in mind goal is 1) weight savings 2) looks (anything wins over the poverty spec wheels)

19" Poverty specs are Front 22.7 Rear 27.3 lbs
19" OZ ultraleggera hlt are Front 22 Rear 24
So there you have a relatively insignificant 1.4 lbs front savings and a significant 6.6 lbs savings to the driving wheels !

The pretty 20" Carerra S are Front 23.6 Rear 27.75
versus the same 20" OZ hlt at Front 24 (!!!) and Rear 26 - way less savings there.....

Also the Michelin Pilot 4S are 23+28 in 19" sizes and 24+29 in 20" sizes incidentally, so not only are the 20" wheels heavier but the tires are also heavier, which is odd, I expected the smaller sidewall and the slightly wider size to cancel out but I guess not.

In conclusion for me, the 20s are out - 19s run $2400 w/o tires - not sure that is enough of a weight savings to justify the money but I may any just for looks...
Now what color do y'all prefer, for giggles ? I'm honestly on the fence - Gold is a bit bright - bronze is a bit dark, grey is a bit dull but I kinda like them all...

i had stock 20's on my .1S and went down to 19s. I thought about waiting for Apex to make 19s for our cars but decided not to wait. Advan and Titan7 were other ones i considered too for 19s. BBS LM/E88/E89 wouldve been sick but cost way beyond my budget lol

These will be exactly what you want, and so light they will actually give you effectively a power increase. You may not like the price, but they are about half of new.

Ooh very nice indeed - 20 only apparently for 991 - but thanks for the tip...

Those look nice, but are they made in the correct widths and offsets for a 991.2?

Litespeed Racing will make you a custom set of 19" that won't break the bank at all. He can give you weight estimates prior to making them as well.
They'll do aluminum or magnesium.

If you'd do forged magnesium in 19x9 front and 19x11.5 rears, they should come in around 15-16lbs for the front and 17-18lbs for the rears.

Just curious: how much more fragile are some of these lightweight wheels?

Light-weight in no way shape or form equals fragile.

I've run a ton of light-weight wheels for years on the track with no issues at all. I dual-purposed my Advan RS wheels on my BMW for years before going to dedicated trach wheels/tires (R-comps). They were 9lbs. and 10lbs lighter than the stock BMW wheels and held up without a problem.
Forged wheels will be even stronger.
