Default Installing winter wheels with no TPMS?

I just bought black Carrera S wheels for my 991.1 and Michelin Alpin tires to use as my winter wheels/tires. If I get these wheels installed without a TPMS sensors, other than an error code showing up on my dash will there be any issues (using any features on m dash, warning beeps etc.).

I don't care about being able to see my tire pressure on my dash so I'd rather not spend money on sensor for my winter wheels.

I think it's just the error code but why not install the tpms? You can get them for $80 on ebay.

Yes, after awhile you may also get suspension warning. See owners manual.

You will have a constant warning light, annoying. Not worth it.

Are these decent quality? I was worried about the quality of aftermarket tpms sensors. I assume most are cheap Chinese parts.

Also, please remember that TPMS will alert you to a change in tire pressure and possible flat. You drive a (give or take) $100K car and want to save a few hundred bucks by not having this safety information feature???

My car is in the shop and I will have to delay mounting winter tires on my rims. Porsche wants, 1,200 for the oem sensors (CAD). I may order the tpms sensors online but it will likely take 2 weeks to get them.

Okay, thanks. Did your require programming? i read that a lot of the aftermarket sensors require programming of the sensor as they re universal sensors.

With low profile tires I would always use TPMS. I drove off with a flat and the tire was ruined within about 700 feet due to the rim rubbing on the inner sidewall.

Does TireRack ship to Canada? If so $US 69 each.

@Tim_944 - I had the ones from TireRack on my 997.2 and those were good to go. Not sure if 991 would be different, but doubt it. If you do go the TireRack route, just talk to those guys. Their customer service is exceptional, honest, and helpful. I think you’re over complicating this. Also, I am very glad you're driving your car in the winter!

Those are cheap Chinese made sensors. Anything that cheap is going to be junk. For your car you will need Rde048 the OE or the same sensor made by the same company is the RDE011. They are Huf which is the same manufacturer of the OE sensors.
