Default Roof top cargo box carriers on the Porsche 991 roof rack- Let's see them

Just ordered by roof rack as I intend to use them with a cargo carrier (probably a Thule or Yakima). I would love to see what people are using to get an idea on the optimal size that won't create excessive drag. So please, post pics of your roof top cargo box / carriers along with the brand / size / model.

Also, for those of you with the roof racks, do you just leave only put them on when using them. The reason for this question is I'm wondering if there are any issues with water drainage along the channels where the black whether stripping is lifted in order to place the racks up on the roof.

PFA: This is the setup that the guy from Seen Through Glass used on this trip around the world in his Carrera T. Looks like a good/appropriately sized carrier. Just looking for other examples / inspiration.

Also, here is a pic of the installation showing how the weather stripping is lifted and tucked into the rack.

I used a small Thule Cargo Bag to move my daughter into college this past August. Worked quite well. Don't yet have a need for the larger box...but I keep a look out for a good deal on FB marketplace.

Thanks, Chris. Can you please specify which carrier (brand / size / model)? I can’t tell by your picture or STG as well. Thanks!

It's a Porsche Tequipment 320 litre capacity box.

Chris do you have any other pics? I am considering the 320L for my 992 but not many pics available to judge the proportions.

I'm waiting on delivery of a Inno Wedge 660 Rooftop Cargo Box - 11 Cu Ft - Black and will post up pics if you can wait. It's quite a bit cheaper than the Porsche box but looks sleek.I bought it based on a thread here and a video one owner did.

I have had very very good experience with a BMW 520 roof box so that I ordered a Porsche 320 box for a Porsche Cayenne Coupe that I ordered but yet to be delivered. Both BMW and Porsche offer boxes of 320L and 520L, which are secured to the support bars in the same manner (screws being slided into the support bars), not using claws. I did not choose the Porsche Performance Box which is 460L because it is secured to the support bars with claws which i think may not be as good in waterproof as screws. I will post pictures of the Porsche box on top of my Cayenne, but here are some pictures of the paper box containing the Porsche 320L box and my BMW box.

Box is light but still big.

Product Labels, Made in Germany

Sorry, the pick of the box is lousy but all I could find,…none with the box on the 911. It is a Packasport box and after owning a couple of Thules I found the Packasport. They are more expensive but they are fiberglass and very stiff. You may be able to tell from the snowy pic, they sit low on the cross bars and are very low profile. Mine is at least 10 years old, has been back and forth from the mountain many many times and still looks new. It is held in place with stainless U bolts attached on the inside. It is a very rugged box!

Can’t believe I forgot to update the thread I started with my own cargo box decision.
Inno Wedge 660. IMHO this is one of the sleekest design out there and very well made.
