I just traded my 996 aerokit car for a 991 S and I'm immediately wondering what aerokit options are available for the 991. If you install the ducktail, does that still allow the spoiler to raise and lower?

Both are fixed wings so they dont move. The motor and actuator assembly that moves the stock wing is removed when installing these kits. You also replace the wing-button in the center console with a blank (not included) and replace the sunroof control module (if equipped) with one that allows less tilt as the duck/wing changes the aerodynamic properties of the car.

There are two factory Porsche Tequipment options: Aerokit (top image) which is just the ducktail. And Aerokit Cup which is the ducktail with a wing blade on top (bottom image).

Great answer - thanks - that's just what I was looking for. I would not have predicted the sunroof comment, as that wasn't m modified in the 996.

I figured. I had a big *** aerokit wing on my 996 and it made no difference with or without the sunroof open and I've got to admit that I hate to modify the operation of the roof. Nice to know it's safe to leave it alone.
